Our Story

No girl should feel shame about her own body

Girly Gifts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built on one belief: a period should end a sentence, not a girl's education. We provide menstrual products, education, and leadership opportunities so that biology never becomes a barrier to opportunity.

The Unveiling of Girly Gifts

Born from a simple, urgent idea

Girly Gifts started with a clear-eyed look at a global problem hiding in plain sight: girls missing school, losing confidence, and falling behind — not because they lack ability, but because they lack access to basic menstrual products and honest education about their own bodies.

What began as a small effort to get supplies into the hands of girls who needed them has grown into an organization spanning two continents — direct product distribution and menstrual health education in Liberia, and a teen-led ambassador movement fundraising and advocating right here in the United States.

Every kit we hand out, every conversation we start, and every myth we bust is in service of one goal: keeping girls in school, every month, no exceptions.

Where We Work

Three focus areas, one mission

🌍

Global Impact: Liberia

We distribute reusable pad kits and hygiene supplies directly to girls and schools in Liberia, paired with menstrual health education so lack of access — or lack of knowledge — never keeps a girl out of the classroom.

🎗️

Teen Ambassador Program (USA)

Empowering young leaders through community project leadership and fundraising for our African initiatives — with real roles like Global Citizenship, Logistics, Community Outreach, and Digital Advocacy Director.

📚

Parent Education

Guidance for parents on when to start the period conversation with their kids and what belongs in a thoughtful first period kit — because education starts at home.

Our People

The team behind the mission

A US-based board and a Liberia-based team working side by side to make sure every dollar and every donation reaches the girls who need it.
