About Rev. Johnson
Rev. Shayla Johnson is an ordained elder in full connection in the United Methodist Church. She began her pastoral journey as a pastor serving the historic Mother African Zoar United Methodist Church.
She currently pastors a two-point charge serving Trinity Lansdowne UMC (aka The Garden Church) and New Life UMC. She is a graduate of several educational institutions holding various degrees in business and theological studies and has completed one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education at Nemours AI DuPont Hospital for Children.
Pastor Johnson recently served as the coordinator for the Northeast Jurisdiction of Black Methodists for Church Renewal (NEJ BMCR).

Her Ministry Heart
Rev. Johnson believes she has been charged by God to eliminate the constricting walls of the church and is empowered through pastoral gifts to minister, counsel, teach, love, encourage, and lead others as a committed vessel of God.
